The Centenary Wall is now mounted in the Clubhouse and filling up steadily with some excellent messages of support, remembrance and association. Don't miss out on your chance to be a permanent part of your Club’s history. Bricks cost £100 plus £25 production cost.
Message monty@banburyrufc.co.uk for additional information and an order form. Obviously the number of bricks is limited and we do expect them to sell out so get your order in now.
We are hoping to see you on 26th and 27th June. Come and share your memories of Banbury Rugby Club with other members, and like-minded enthusiasts, at our very first “Memorabilia Days”, to be held in the Clubhouse from midday on Wednesday 26th June until 10pm on Thursday 27th June. As we approach our Centenary Season, we have been collecting and collating many of our historical artefacts, both for display and to form part of the much-anticipated Centenary Book – “One Club, One Hundred Years”. Everything we have accumulated to date will be on display, but we need more material – anything from old photographs, programmes, press cuttings, clothing, in fact anything that relates to the Club over the last 99 years. So, clear out your cupboards, search the attic and venture into that garden shed, bring along everything you can find. We will be happy to look at everything on these two days and, where appropriate, photograph or scan the items you bring us with a view to adding them to either the book or a permanent display. Maybe you might like to donate items to clear a little space for yourself! The Banbury Museum have also offered us an opportunity to display a selection of our artefacts on their premises for a period during the Summer. If you cannot make either of these dates, but feel you have items that may be of interest, please email us to make alternative arrangements – centenary@banburyrufc.co.uk . Please make every effort to come along and enjoy a chat and reminisce, and while you are here, have a lite bite and a drink at the bar. Everyone is welcome and we look forward to some interesting conversations.
