The Bulls started off the morning well, with a disciplined approach and structure to their game that saw opportunities created around the sides of the BB defence. Solid tackling and the Banbury Wall held solid throughout the first two games. Game 3 saw a great improvement from BB in attack, which saw Banbury edge it by the narrowest of margins.
Bisons suffered at the hands of a robust and physical Barkers Butts side in Game 1 but steadily improved tackling and breakdown work through the remaining games of the morning, leading to much closer competition in the following matches.
A final game had elements of farce with anywhere between 7 and 11 players on the pitch at one point or another. The combined remaining Bulls and Bisons (where did all the hotdogs go???) saw a rejuvenated BB side come back to score a comfortable win against a Banbury team that had almost been changed and on their way home.
Unfortunately, the attitude of some visiting fans was not to the standard we would expect, throughout the morning, and did not set the sort of example expected to youngsters.
