With it being half term we were surprised to get as many as 16 children to training today. After a well needed "warm up" run we went into the old favourite bulldog which seemed to take a lot longer as we were missing a few coaches, still it gave the parents a great Sunday morning challenge

The Tagline above comes from an under 8 who when asked if he was ready exclaimed he was "Born Ready" to much laughter from all, especially later on when he admitted after losing concentration that maybe he wasn't "Born Ready" nice one Harris!!!

The buzzword of the day was Teamwork and we wanted the kids to start taking responsibility for all of their teammates regardless of ability,
I'm glad to say that quite a few of the more experienced players were brilliant and definitely helped out when they needed too.

With there being less numbers than usual we tried a few new drills to see how they would work and the experiment worked as we found a really good way of getting them organised into a defensive line.

Time ran out quickly today and after a few matches amongst ourselves we didn't have time for our end of session fun game.

We did however have enough time to pick our team of the week although there were a lot of candidates this week we settled on.

A home fixture against Chipping Norton awaits us next week and the first hotdogs of the season for the U8's
