On Saturday 21st December, the Bulls take on Alchester from 2.30pm at Bodicote Park. This is a ‘friendly’ fixture and the Bulls side will be comprised of players from across the senior squad. Expect lots of in-fighting as Thursday night’s Quiz Night result seems contentious, to say the least! As always the Club Bar will be open, probably the best way to resolve any tie-breakers!

On Sunday the Minis have their traditional ‘fun’ training session at Bodicote Park from 10.00am as a prelude to their Christmas Party. The party kicks off (hopefully not literally) from 12 noon and this year pizzas are the food of choice. If age-groups haven’t already ordered through their Admins then they’ve been very, very naughty. As always, the smart parents will be found cowering in the Club Bar whilst the Green Room descends into anarchy.

Only one Junior fixture to get behind this weekend as our Under U16s attempt to keep their unbeaten record going with a trip to Oadby Wyggestonian RFC. The kick-off is at 11.00am for anyone fancying the 100 mile round trip (!) and the lads are looking forward to playing on the Leicester Tigers 4G training pitch.

Last, but most definitely not least, Sunday evening sees the Club’s Christmas Songs & Carol sing-a-long. Barbershop quartet ‘One Jock & Three Angels’ (no, seriously) will add a unique slant to the evening, as will President Mascall’s mulled wine! The Club’s Christmas Raffle will be drawn during the evening so make sure to buy some more tickets from your Admins before then. Sunday evening’s kick off is 7.00pm sharp.

That’s all the action pre-Christmas folks but don’t forget the re-instated Boxing Day Fixture on, er, Boxing Day. There’s an Under 30s v Over 30s debacle together with touch-rugby games for the seriously crocked. All the usual suspects, plus as many new ones as possible, are to meet from 11.00am. Did we mention the Club Bar may be open?

It’s been a pretty momentous year for the Club and our thanks go to all the countless players, coaches, parents, supporters, sponsors and officials who give their time and support so generously. Next year is already shaping up to be something even more special!
