Following the success of the Weymouth tour in 2015, the Under 11s are heading towards the English Riviera from the 1st April 2016 to participate in The South Coast Festival of Rugby.
The tour is shaping up to be our biggest and best yet, with the draft itinery as follows:
Friday 1st April 2016
We are hoping to arrange a friendly with our friends at Topsham RFC, who we played against and were the only team to beat our "Weasels" in the Weymouth festival in 2015, on route to Torquay.
Saturday 2nd April 2016
Saturday will see the debut rounds of the tournament, with matches scheduled for either the morning or afternoon session. All teams will participate over the two days, and over the course of the tournament will compete against a multitude of teams. After the pool stage is completed, the outcome will determine which Cup we will compete for on Sunday; the Cup, Challenge Cup and with larger categories the Trophy Cup and Bowl Cup (or round robin).
Sunday 3rd April 2016
We return to the pitch on Sunday to participate in the quarter or semi-finals of the tournament. Eagerly anticipated and ultra-competitive, the finals feature the most determined of teams, promising an excellent standard of rugby for all. After the final celebrations, teams will be free to enjoy their last evening as they see fit – be it enjoying your holiday park’s facilities or carrying on the celebrations elsewhere.
Monday 4th April 2016
After an unforgettable and action packed weekend of rugby, we will depart the accommodation and either head home to reminisce with tales of the weekend or enjoy one of the many excursions available.
If you would like to join us, please contact Keith Cook as soon as possible. A deposit of £35 per person will be required to secure your place.
